Indian airline Vistara has unveiled a new yoga-style onboard safety video. Flight safety instructions are combined with various "asanas" or yoga postures.
The video will be shown on the Airbus A321neo and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner recently received by the airline. Vistara hopes that it will increase not only safety on board, but also the tourist attraction of India.
The plots were filmed in 4 states of India and 1 union territory - from the northern landscapes of Ladakh to the picturesque Malshedj cliffs in the Western Ghats. They are attended by one of the most experienced flight attendants, Vistara, who is also a certified yoga instructor.
“Yoga is one of India's greatest gifts to the world, practiced by hundreds of millions of people, and our country's diverse landscape continues to amaze locals and visitors alike,” said Vistara Chief Commercial Officer Vinod Kannan. “The video combines both of these aspects with an important safety briefing that doesn't have to be boring. Our goal is to stimulate the attention of even the most frequent flyers".
