The Swiss airline SWISS, as part of the new catering program of the aviation concern Lufthansa, also announced a "new interpretation" of in-flight catering.
It will take effect in the spring of 2021 on flights from Zurich and will duplicate the popular SWISS Saveurs gastronomy program, which has been offered on flights from Geneva since 2018.
Economy class passengers boarding in Zurich will enjoy a wide selection of fresh food and drinks "associated with home comfort and Swiss flair." All SWISS guests will continue to receive a free bottle of water and branded chocolate pills, but the new in-flight catering program means the end of the standard snack menu.
“In-flight food and drinks allow our company to create its own image,” said SWISS Commercial Director Tamur Gudarzi Poor. “In Geneva, we already offer our customers their own choice of snacks and drinks on board through the SWISS Saveurs program. We received very good feedback and decided to expand the program to our flights from Zurich. "
The new menu will be announced later.
