Aeroflot enhances its B777 IFEC systems.
Aeroflot has signed an agreement with Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) for upgraded in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) systems across its entire fleet of 20 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The aircraft will be retrofitted with eX3 IFE systems and satellite-based IFC systems, enabling passengers aboard Aeroflot’s B777s to enjoy the same IFEC experience that is available on its similarly equipped Airbus A350-900 fleet.
The eX3 system can deliver more than 700 hours of on-demand entertainment, offering 1080p content with enhanced video colour support.
Flyers on Aeroflot’s B777-300ERs will also be able to enjoy upgraded connectivity from Panasonic Avionics’ global communications network of high-speed, high-bandwidth satellites. The system delivers fast internet, video streaming, VoIP applications, mobile services, and dedicated bandwidth for crew applications.
This latest commitment from Aeroflot builds on its longstanding partnership with Panasonic Avionics, which began in 2008. Aeroflot’s fleet of Airbus A320neos and A321neos are also fitted with PAC’s latest IFE and IFC systems.
