Finnair kitchen goes down to earth

The Finnish airline Finnair's Nordic business menu is now available to buy on the ground and enjoy the Finnair flavor at home.

Ready meals are currently only available in one store - K-Citymarket Tammisto, located near Helsinki Vantaa International Airport. If the pilot is successful, Finnair plans to expand sales to other retail outlets. The cost of the starter is € 5.90 and the main course € 12.90. Customers are offered the airline's specialties from Finnish and Asian cuisines, such as hunting venison and beef in teriyaki sauce. All meals are produced according to exclusive recipes at the Finnair catering company.

“Now that flights have been cut due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to offer our loyal customers the opportunity to experience Finnair luxury at home,” said Marika Nieminen, Vice President Catering at Finnair. "At the same time, this project allows us to return jobs to our chefs who were temporarily sent on vacation."
