Dnata, based in Dubai, has opened a new air catering facility in Dublin. The production capacity has been increased to 40,000 meals a day, which is 4 times more than the previous level.
Dnata air catering in Dublin serves 6 airlines. The new 6300 m² facility is located in the airport logistics area and is equipped with the latest technology.
Dnata's expansion comes as a result of an agreement with Ireland's largest air carrier Aer Lingus to provide catering services to the airline in Dublin, Shannon, Cork and Belfast. Robin Padgett, senior vice president of catering at dnata, said: “It's a pleasure to work at the new state-of-the-art catering center, which is the 65th manufacturing facility in our global network. We are proud to serve more customers in Dublin with our team of highly skilled culinary professionals, both in the air and on the ground. ”
Dnata will shortly complete the new plant in Shannon and expand its operations in Cork as part of its multimillion-dollar investment program in Ireland.
