Contactless service from Bluebox

In-flight service without tactile contacts is possible!

Aviation software developer Bluebox Aviation Systems and Dnata Catering Australia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop touchless passenger service technologies through the deployment of Bluebox wireless IFE (W-IFE) systems in Australia, New Zealand and several other Pacific regions.

The new concept proposes to minimize dialogue between passengers and flight attendants while still providing excellent service and a full range of food, beverage and retail items on board. The use of Bluebox's rapidly deployable W-IFE systems will simplify this task.

“IFE has accelerated the delivery of contactless payments for in-flight retailers and the digitization of materials such as digital menus and magazines that generate additional revenue for airlines,” said David Brown, director of business development at Bluebox. “Through our partnership with Dnata, we can expand the platform to onboard logistics systems by integrating catering and retail elements.”
